Invitation to Submit Entries

To celebrate the 150th anniversary of the birth of Kokichi Mikimoto, founder of K. Mikimoto & Co.,Ltd., and to commemorate the founderfs dream of gadorning women around the world with pearlsh, entries are invited to the photographic exhibition gPEARLS, 365 DAYSh. The theme is gpeople and pearlsh and we invite entries that convey the joy and happiness of wearing pearls.

Prizes

Prizes will be awarded to all entries that are selected for the exhibition. Of these, four entries will be awarded the following prizes.

Theme:"People and Pearls"
Conditions of entry: Entries are invited from all photographers, regardless of age,gender,
nationality, or professional or amateur status (* including overseas residents)
Size:Maximum 2L/1MB, vertical or horizontal * For selection purposes
Restriction on number of entries:None
How to enter:

1. Postal Entries
Click the "Postal Entry" button at the bottom of the page and download the entry form.
Fill out the entry form, and post, together with the work/s (2L) to the Entries Office at
the following address.
* Identify which way the work faces, by marking "Top" and "Bottom" on the reverse of
the work/s

2. Email Entries
Enter the necessary details in the email, attach the work (a maximum of 1MB in size;
for selection purposes) and send to the following email address.

<Required Information>
Title of work, applicant name, address, age, occupation, daytime contact number,
description of or comments about the work

* The entrant who submits the winning work may be asked to provide digital data or a
positive print.
* Works photographed with a digital camera should be saved as a RGB color mode JPEG
image file (.jpg), with the size of each work (each file) to be around 3 to 5 MB.

Those submitting multiple entries
If sending by post : Fill out a separate entry form for each work, ensuring that the entry form is submitted
together with the relevant work.
If sending by email : The title for each photograph should be the same as the title of the work in the email.
Enter the necessary details for each work, sending a separate email for each work.

Entry is restricted to entrants who have agreed to the Entry Rules.

Notes

  • Submitted entries will not be returned.
  • Entrantsf personal information will not be disclosed to any third parties,
    other than for the purposes of the gPearls, 365 DAYSh Photography Exhibition.
  • Although utmost care will be taken in the handling of entries, K. Mikimoto & Co.,Ltd.
    accepts no responsibility for any damage that may occur.
  • Entries are restricted to works that have not been shown in the past. If an entry has already been
    awarded a prize, selected in any other competition, or been included in an exhibition, the prize will
    be cancelled even though the entry may have already been selected for the exhibition.
  • The copyright for the entry/entries belongs to the photographer (the entrant).
    K. Mikimoto & Co.,Ltd. has the right to use the selected entry for no charge.
  • K. Mikimoto & Co.,Ltd. bears no responsibility for any damages, etc arising from an infringement
    of anotherfs copyright or portrait right. K. Mikimoto & Co.,Ltd. may cancel the selection of a work
    that is discovered to represent such an infringement.
  • If the subject of the photograph is a person, ensure that the consent of that person (the subject)
    has been obtained. If the subject is underage, the consent of the parent or guardian must be
    obtained.
  • Once the winners and selected entries have been announced, the names of the selected
    photographers and where they are based may be made public as part of the exhibition, or if that
    work is to be used in an advertisement.
